Sam Barrera resides in Milton Township with his wife, Kristen, who grew up in Edwardsburg, and their three children: Henry, 5, Nora, 3, and Jonah, 1. He is a supply chain data analyst who strives toward making tasks and processes more efficient. Commissioner Barrera was first elected in 2022, and decided to run because he has strong interest in getting more involved in local government.

What is the biggest goal you have for Cass County this term? I look forward to getting more familiar with all the departments and am optimistic about this group of commissioners being more transparent and working efficiently with the county employees and elected officials.
Which major project or initiative do you most look forward to this term? Working toward resolving the county deficit.
Fun facts: I am in the process of getting my master’s degree. I love hunting, fishing and spending time with my family outdoors.
