The Cass County Friend of the Court (FOC) is inviting all families served by its office to take part in its 2026 Customer Satisfaction Survey. The survey opens on October 1, 2026, and will stay open through December 31, 2026.
The survey was created in partnership with the State Court Administrative Office (SCAO) and covers a variety of topics, including overall satisfaction with services; the nature of interactions with the FOC; preferences for providing information to the FOC for child support reviews; and input on the FOC’s website. The survey is confidential and takes about three minutes to complete. All of the survey data will be collected and maintained by SCAO in a private and secure manner.
“Each year, Courts across Michigan conduct a public satisfaction survey with support from the State Court Administrative Office (SCAO) to gather feedback from court users about their overall experience. However, that survey doesn’t fully capture the unique needs and perspectives of families interacting specifically with Friend of the Court services,” said Cass County Friend of the Court Director Sarah Mathews. “When I learned that SCAO was willing to assist with a confidential, FOC-specific survey, I reached out immediately to explore how we could bring this opportunity to Cass County. It’s important to me that the families we serve have a voice. If our FOC office is doing something well, I want to keep building on that. And if there are areas where we can improve, I want to understand those so we can strengthen our services. At the end of the day, our mission is to support and empower the families and children of Cass County, and our entire FOC team is committed to doing that to the best of our abilities.”
The Cass County FOC staff will be sending out links to the survey via email to FOC clients as they respond to emails and will be including flyers about the survey in mailings that go out directly from the FOC (flyers will not go out with items printed and mailed through central print in Lansing). The link to the online survey is also available at the FOC for those visiting in person. The FOC will have tablets available in its lobby starting in November for those who would like to complete the electronic survey but need access to the internet to complete it.
If you receive custody, parenting time, or child support services from the Cass County Friend of the Court and have not received information regarding the survey yet, you can email the FOC at FOC@cassco.org and request that the link be sent to you.
